South Carolina residents will be able to access phone numbers to Social Security field offices in the area they live by clicking on the link below. In addition, I have included the links about our online my Social Security account and how to request an online replacement Social Security Card.
In order to be eligible to apply for a replacement Social Security card online the applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- be a U.S. citizen with his or her U.S. citizenship established on the SSN record;
- be 18 years of age or older
- have a “my Social Security” online account; (http://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/);
- request a Social Security replacement card for his or her self that requires no change to the Social Security record;
- have a U.S. mailing address (includes military APO and FPO addresses); and
- have a valid current driver’s license, or State-issued non-driver identity card issued from one of the following participating U.S. States:
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware (Currently, only driver’s license holders can apply via online.), District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin (Currently, only driver’s license holders can apply).
